Stephen Shepherd, Owner and Master Electrician, Higher Power Electric

Higher Power Electric is a small electric company based in Ajax, Ontario. The client, Stephen Shepherd, takes great pride in the quality of customer service he provides. In creating his brand identity, we wanted to capture and communicate his knowledge of electricity and his friendly personality. So we came up with an icon of an electrical outlet symbolizing the client's thorough knowledge of electricity. An "H" was placed on the face of the outlet to double as both the eyes of the outlet and the "H" in the client's company name. A smile was also placed on the face of the outlet to communicate the client's friendly personality. An extra-bold sans-serif type, Proxima Nova, was used to match the look of the "H" on the face of the outlet and the thickness of the strokes on the icon.
